How Much Does a Periodontist Examination and Consultation Cost?
The out-of-pocket expenses for an initial comprehensive examination and consultation depend on what we are asked to evaluate as well as what your dental insurance policy, if you have one, will cover.
We treat everyone as an individual. Your visit includes a comprehensive exam with Dr. Newhouse to understand your health, listen to your goals, and discuss your best options. Costs depend on your specific treatment, but we’ll always talk through them with you in advance. We’ll also help you understand payment choices and what your insurance may cover.
What Periodontal Services Do We Offer?
We work for and with our patients, not insurance companies. Coverage depends on the specifics of your insurance plan. We accept many kinds of insurance and will work hard to help you get the most out of your insurance benefits. But, please remember dental insurance, unlike medical coverage, was never designed to be comprehensive. Every plan is different. The Newhouse Perio team can guide you through what insurance may or may not cover and explain other payment options.
What Are My Payment Options?
We work for you, not the insurance companies. We want your care to fit your life and budget, so we offer several ways to pay:
- Cash, check, or major credit cards
- Health Savings Account (HSA): You can use HSA funds for dental care.
- Flexible Spending Account (FSA): FSAs (through your employer) can also be used, though they usually have annual deadlines.
